Common Questions

Find some of the most common questions people have below. If something is still unclear, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Are you open during Covid? What changes are being made to ensure my safety?

Following the Alberta Health guidelines, I am still able to offer treatments for clients. Upon entering my home, you will see the expected protocols (AHS directives) in place and I will don a mask for the entirety of our session. You are asked to wear a mask as well. The treatment room is fully sanitized and all linens are washed between patients.

Should you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.

What should I expect from my first session?

Prior to your first appointment you will be sent an intake form that will provide your health history.

At our first session, we will spend time reviewing your health history and getting to know your health hopes and goals. During a treatment, you are fully clothed, and you will lay on a massage table (face up or down depending on what health concern you are addressing). CST and LDT are both light-touch methods and a practitioner will always ask permission for laying hands on more intimate areas of your body. You are always in control of the session, and are encouraged to speak up and/or ask questions!

Can I claim my treatment sessions?

As a certified Registered Massage Therapist, clients who have massage benefits can claim treatments for CranioSacral Therapy or Lymphatic Drainage Therapy!

Receipts for insurance providers are available as needed.

How should I prepare for my first appointment?

Prior to your initial appointment, please fill out the Patient History Intake Form. You can email your completed form prior to your appointment, or bring it with you to your first appointment.

All information disclosed with the practitioner is considered confidential.

Each person's health journey is vastly unique! After each session, the next step(s) will be discussed and determined. You are always in control of your health journey!

"Response to CST varies from individual to individual and condition to condition. Your response is uniquely your own and can't be compared to anyone else's - even those cases that may appear to be similar to your own. The number of sessions needed varies widely - from just one up to three or more a week over the course of several weeks." (Cited from upledger.com)

How many sessions should I expect to need?

Where do I park?

Outside of our home, there is ample street parking, which is not permitted or paid. Please do not park in the driveway.

How do I move or cancel an appointment?

Simply contact me via phone or email to move or cancel your appointment. If you should need to cancel, no fee will be charged as long as it is 24hrs prior to your appointment (pending reasonable circumstances).

What are your hours of operation?

While I do not have set 'business' hours, I am generally available Tuesday - Friday, day or evening. Appointments outside of these times will be considered on an individual basis. We will work together to find an ideal time!
